Personal Goal: To educate young people by means of song and
jointly achieve a great success.
Personal Statement: including hobbies, interests, family,
etc.: I love my family and devote my spare time to my grandson.
I like Armenian cuisine (meals), I like my profession and
work, and I like driving a car.
In 1961, I graduated from Secondary School after Kh. Abovyan
in Yerevan. In 1958-1963, I studied and graduated from the
Brass class of musical school after Sayat-Nova in Yerevan.
In 1963-1966, I completed Military Service in the Soviet
Army.
From 1966-1968, I studied and graduated from Musical College
after Romanos Melikyan in Yerevan (Brass faculty). In 1968-1973,
I studied and graduated from Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory
(Brass faculty, class of professor Tulakyan).
Simultaneously with the study in Conservatory (and afterwards,
13 years in total), I was singing in the Chorus after Aram
Ter-Hovhannisyan. During those years, the high artistic style
of the Chorus head Tatul Altunyan and Conductor Grigor
Sandalchyan, significantly contributed to my professionalism.
The years of 1973-1993 were dedicated to working with several
amateur choirs, including the choir of: Medical College #2
in Yerevan, women choir of Institute of ArmStateLandProject,
the amateur choir of Sirius factory, and the children
choir of Secondary School #7 in Abovyan. Those choirs took
part in a number of competition-festivals, deserving prizes
and diplomas. I myself was twice designated as the best conductor
of the year.
Since 1993, I have directed the Paros Chamber Choir and the
Children-Youth Tatev Choir, both winners of international
competitions.
During the 12 years of its activities, Paros Chamber Choir
has participated in a number of republican and international
competitions. Some of these competitions included festivals
organized by Musical Union of Armenia, in which the Paros
Chamber Choir has been awarded 1st prize.
