Personal Goal: The happiness of my beloved half.
Personal Statement including hobbies, interests, family, etc.:
I like nature, animals, wood engraving, and IT. Whenever possible,
I try to follow and study innovations. I like searching, thinking,
finding answers on inexplicable occurrences and I appreciate
optimism in people.
When I was six years old, I entered the D. Hambardzumyan
State Swimming School. Later, I was involved in the teen-age
swimming team of the Soviet Union. I was twelve when I ranked
first in a competition held in Minsk.
In 1994, I was fifteen with only one year left to finish
school, and as a result of a diving accident, I received a
spinal cord injury. After spending one and a half years in
different hospitals, including IPTRC, I returned home.
My new life with quite limited opportunities made me look
for new hobbies. An old keenness for physics made me engage
in self-tutoring on this subject and a great desire to advance
in this science awoke in me. I was very pleased when after
a number of unsuccessful attempts, I made my first audio stereo
system by myself. The success caused me to fall in love with
this sphere. I consider myself an ardent radio fan, and I
enjoy building different schemes through my creative concepts.
Wood engraving is also part of the list of my hobbies. I
have a lot of woodworks. One of my wood works, to my great
joy, won Grand-Prix in an All-Armenian wood engraving contest
organized by Unison NGO in 2005. I became involved in the
Paros Chamber Choir three years ago and this played a great
role in my life. I made a lot of friends, whom do their job
with great love and responsibility. In my opinion, though
Paros is an amateur choir, it is far superior to many professional
groups.
In addition to my involvement in Paros, I have been also
privileged to become part of Unison staff as an author of
articles published in Invisible People and as a Web operator.
I am very interested in the field of Web design and programming.
I created the first Paros website. My objective is to advance
in this field. I am also eager to start teaching computer
literacy for people with disabilities at the Unisons
new offices.
I am a quiet, friendly (though a little bit secluded) and
hard-working person. I like honest people. Life is beautiful,
whatever they say. A creative soul will find its right path
and a way to self-affirmation. The important thing is to be
surrounded with friends and to do your favorite job.
